Nau mai, haere mai! Te Kōtuku host's a small once-a-week informal gathering over a great cup of coffee for whānau. This is a good opportunity for whānau to discuss the goals and aspirations of their whānau member and what we can do to provide better care.
So Whānau, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org or call (09) 820-0045 and who your whānau member is at Te Kōtuku (they must me under our care) and we will organise a cuppa at our offices at 2/40 Copsey Place in Avondale. We usually hold these on Wednesdays from 11:00 am to 12:00 noon.
Every year, Tāngata Whaiora and our staff put on a day dedicated to whānau and wider community. The day includes a pōwhiri and mihimihi, whakawhanaungatanga, kapa haka performances, a guest speaker, celebration of Tāngata Whaiora achievements and finishing with kai-hākari. For many, this is the highlight of the year. It gives an opportunity for Tāngata Whaiora to express themselves and for whānau to acknowledge progress and signal their on-going support and appreciation.
